Jeremy Goodrich's Pick:
Jeremy's gift suggestion is no surprise to anyone who knows him. Podcasting has been his creative outlet for years. His suggestion is to gift the gift of gab to your favorite aspiring radio/podcast host.
This combination of a microphone that plugs directly into your computer, and a nice set of headphones, is all you need to get started. This pair clocks in around $150 and we've linked to a company that provides exceptional online service from their Indiana-based business.
Ashley Pirani's Pick:
Ashley loves the gift of shopping for stuff that really calls to her, so she always recommends gift cards to a couple of her favorite stores.
Westbury Antique Market is one of her most prized shopping spots, she loves spending hours getting lost in the booths hunting for treasures others are ready to pass along.
Gather: handmade shoppe and co. is another gem on her list. It's a retail shop offering a wide variety of special and unique goodies that fit nearly anyone's style, and it's great to be able to support local.
Lorilyn Perhay's Pick:
Lorilynhas a really cool gift idea that couldn't be a better fit for the times - a flight simulator! There are a few ways to have a flight simulator at home, from the XBox sitting in your den, to software on your computer like Steam, to your Virtual Reality system - like Oculus, which will have a free upgrade on 12/23.
She lives in gorgeous Eureka, Montana, which used to be known as the Christmas Tree Capital of the country. There's still a cottage industry of folks who make wreaths and garlands, and Lorilyn gifts beautiful wreaths to her mom, brother and sister.
Kaisa Goodman's Pick
Kaisa has been reading a lot more lately, next up on her wish list is The Accidental Mayor by Tomi and Jim Allison. Tomi is an inspiration as the first elected female mayor of Bloomington, and Tomi and Jim are both staunch voting rights activists. She's looking forward to curling up with this book and her cat and learning more about the Allisons and Bloomington history.
She loves the jewelry by Evan Knox Designs, a local Brown County artist. Evan attracted her attention with the politically-relevant “I’m speaking” handcrafted cuff bracelets last fall, and now one of her necklaces is at the top of Kaisa's Christmas wish list.
We wish you a cozy and festive winter, making memories to last a lifetime, even in these trying times. Thank you so much for sharing your time and trust with us. We sincerely appreciate you.
Your friends at Shine,
Jeremy, McKenzie, Ashley, Lorilyn and Kaisa
